- Review Cartesian coordinates and basic geometric shapes.
- Discuss what transformations are and how they are used in mathematics and real life.

- Translations: Explain the concept of translation, how it moves every point of a figure the same distance and direction, and its properties (e.g., parallelism, congruence).
- Reflections: Introduce reflections, how they flip a figure over a line (the line of reflection), and the properties of reflections (e.g., symmetry).
- Rotations: Explain rotations, how they turn a figure around a fixed point, and the properties of rotations (e.g., angle, direction).
- Use visual aids on the whiteboard to demonstrate each transformation.

Guided Practice (8-10 minutes)
- Divide students into groups and give each a set of geometric shapes.
- Ask them to perform different transformations on the shapes and describe the results.
- Monitor the groups, providing help and feedback as needed.
