Mindfulness Moment

The Guided Meditation activity is a practice aimed at promoting students' presence and concentration. It consists of guiding students to focus on their breath and thoughts in a calm and controlled manner, helping them become more attentive and receptive to the content to be addressed during the lesson.

1. Ask students to sit comfortably in their chairs, with their backs straight and their feet on the floor.

2. Explain that the activity will be a guided meditation to help focus and calm the mind.

3. Instruct students to close their eyes and place their hands on their knees or in a comfortable position.

4. Guide them to begin breathing deeply, inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth, slowly and controlled.

5. While students breathe, guide them to pay attention to the air entering and leaving their lungs, observing how their body moves with each breath.

6. After a few minutes, ask students to imagine a calm and tranquil place where they feel safe and relaxed. It can be a beach, a forest, or any other place that brings a sense of peace.

7. Continue guiding them for a few more minutes, encouraging them to keep their minds focused on their breath and the feelings of relaxation.

8. To conclude, ask students to gradually start moving their fingers and toes, slowly opening their eyes and returning to the classroom environment.

Exploring Means of Transportation and Communication

In this activity, students will be divided into groups and will create a presentation about a specific type of transportation or communication, highlighting its characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages. Each group will then present their findings to the class.

1. Divide the class into groups of 4 to 5 students.

2. Each group should choose a type of transportation or communication to research.

3. Provide research materials such as books, magazines, tablets, or internet access.

4. Ask the groups to create a poster or a digital presentation highlighting the characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages of the chosen means.
