  5. Instruct the students to place a straw inside the balloon and seal the connection with tape, representing the trachea.
  6. Guide them to attach a cut balloon to the bottom of the bottle, representing the diaphragm.
  7. Explain that by pulling and pushing the balloon at the base, they will simulate the contraction and relaxation of the diaphragm, observing the inner balloon (lung) inflate and deflate.
