This will be achieved by contextualizing these factors with the students' reality, using digital tools and platforms to make learning more dynamic and engaging.

Main Objectives

1. Identify and describe the factors that influence the weather, namely temperature, humidity, radiation, and atmospheric pressure.

2. Relate the climatic factors with practical and everyday examples, using digital tools and social networks as a basis for this analysis.

Side Objectives

  1. Promote interaction and collaboration among students through the use of digital platforms.
  2. Encourage critical thinking about how climate change can impact daily life.

Introduction

Duration: (10 - 15 minutes)

The purpose of this stage of the lesson plan is to ensure that students thoroughly understand the main factors that influence the weather. This will be achieved by contextualizing these factors with the students' reality, using digital tools and platforms to make learning more dynamic and engaging.

Warming Up

🌍 Introduction to the Topic: Start the class by briefly explaining that climatic factors are elements that influence the climate of a region, such as temperature, humidity, radiation, and atmospheric pressure. Then, ask students to use their cell phones to find an interesting fact about any of these climatic factors. Give a few minutes for each student to find and share a curiosity with the class.

Initial Reflections

1. 📱 What are the main factors that influence the weather?

2. ☀️ How does temperature affect the weather in different regions?

3. 💧 How does humidity interfere with the perception of weather?

4. 🌡️ What is the relationship between solar radiation and weather?

5. 🌬️ Why is atmospheric pressure important for understanding the weather?

Development

Duration: 70 - 75 minutes

The purpose of this stage of the lesson plan is to promote the practical application of knowledge about climatic factors, using technologies and digital methodologies to make learning more dynamic and meaningful for students. The activities provide an interactive and collaborative environment where students can explore and present their discoveries creatively.

Activity Suggestions

It is recommended that only one of the suggested activities be carried out

Activity 1 - Climate Influencers

> Duration: 60 - 70 minutes

- Objective: Promote a deeper understanding of climatic factors through a practical and interactive approach, using social media as a learning tool.

- Description: In this activity, students will become 'digital influencers' specializing in climatic factors. Each group of up to 5 students will be responsible for creating multimedia content (short videos, stories, posts) for social media explaining one of the climatic factors (temperature, humidity, radiation, atmospheric pressure).

- Instructions:

  • Divide the class into groups of up to 5 students.

  • Each group will choose one of the climatic factors (temperature, humidity, radiation, atmospheric pressure).

  • Groups should research practical and everyday examples that illustrate their climatic factor.

  • Using cell phones, each group will create a series of 3 to 5 multimedia contents (short videos, stories, posts) for a fictitious social network.

  • The contents should be informative, visual, and engaging, using accessible and creative language.

  • At the end, each group will present their contents to the class, explaining the reasoning behind their choices and what they learned in the process.

Activity 2 - Augmented Reality Game: Hunt for Climatic Factors

> Duration: 60 - 70 minutes

- Objective: Use augmented reality technology to provide engaging and interactive learning about climatic factors.

- Description: Students will participate in an augmented reality (AR) game where they need to find and identify different climatic factors in a virtual environment using their cell phones.

- Instructions:

  • Install and set up an augmented reality application on students' cell phones before the class.

  • Divide the class into groups of up to 5 students.

  • Each group will receive a tablet or phone with access to the AR virtual environment.

  • Groups will explore the virtual environment to find 'objects' or 'clues' that represent different climatic factors (temperature, humidity, radiation, atmospheric pressure).

  • When a factor is found, the group must answer questions or challenges related to the climatic factor.

  • Groups accumulate points based on correct answers and factors found.

  • At the end, the group with the most points briefly presents their discoveries and explains how they identified the factors.

Activity 3 - Real-Time Weather: Analysis and Report

> Duration: 60 - 70 minutes

- Objective: Develop the skill to analyze real-time climatic data and connect students to the global context using digital tools.

- Description: Students will conduct a real-time analysis of climatic factors from different parts of the world. Using online meteorological data, they will create weather reports and make presentations.

- Instructions:

  • Divide the class into groups of up to 5 students.

  • Each group will choose a different city in different parts of the world.

  • Using cell phones and computers, groups will access meteorological websites to collect current data on temperature, humidity, radiation, and atmospheric pressure from the chosen city.

  • Based on the collected data, groups will create a report on the current weather of the city, highlighting the studied climatic factors.

  • Students can use graphs, maps, and other visual tools to enrich their reports.

  • Each group will present their report to the class, discussing the specifics of the city's weather and the reasons behind the data found.

Feedback

Duration: (20 - 25 minutes)

The purpose of this stage of the lesson plan is to promote reflection, sharing of learnings, and the exchange of constructive feedback among students. This stage not only consolidates the knowledge acquired but also encourages collaboration and mutual growth within the group.

Group Discussion

🗣️ Group Discussion: Promote a group discussion where students share their discoveries and what they learned during the activities. Follow the suggested outline to introduce the discussion:

  1. Introduction: Thank the students for their effort in the activities and explain that now is the time to share and reflect on their learnings.
  2. Sharing: Ask each group to present within 5 minutes the main points discovered during their activities. Encourage them to talk about the challenges and successes they encountered.
  3. Conclusion: After the presentations, open the floor for questions and discussions. Allow other groups to ask questions and comment on the presentations made.

Reflections

1. 🤔 What were the main challenges you faced during the activities and how did you overcome them? 2. 🌍 How do you believe the climatic factors studied impact the daily lives of people around the world? 3. 🔍 What surprised you the most about the information you found regarding climatic factors?

360° Feedback

🔁 360° Feedback: Instruct students to participate in a 360° feedback session, where each member of a group provides constructive feedback to others. Guide students to keep the feedback respectful and focused on positive aspects and suggestions for improvement. Use the following outline for the feedback stage:

  1. Positive: Ask each student to highlight a positive aspect of each peer's work.
  2. Improvement: Suggest that each student identify an aspect where they believe their peer could improve or develop further.
  3. Appreciation: Conclude by asking students to thank each other for their effort and collaboration during the activities.

Conclusion

Duration: (10 - 15 minutes)

💡 Purpose: The purpose of this stage is to consolidate the knowledge acquired in a light and engaging way, connecting learning with practical and everyday applications. This helps students see the relevance of what they learned and better retain the concepts discussed during the class.

Summary

🎉 Fun Summary: Let's summarize the main climatic factors as if we were on a talk show! 🌍 First, we had Temperature, the planet's thermometer that determines whether we wear coats or shorts. Next, Humidity, our old friend that makes our hair frizz on rainy days. We can't forget Solar Radiation, our natural solar panel, and Atmospheric Pressure, that invisible force that influences wind movement and cloud formation 🌥️.

World Connection

🌐 In the Current World: The class connects students with modern dynamics by using social media and augmented reality to explore climatic factors, showing how these technologies can be used to understand natural phenomena. Understanding these factors is crucial to facing global challenges such as climate change and natural disasters.

Practical Application

🌱 Applications in Daily Life: Knowing climatic factors is essential for various professions such as meteorologists, environmental engineers, farmers, and even urban planners. Understanding how they influence our daily lives helps make informed decisions, from choosing what to wear to planning outdoor activities and developing public policies.
