Did you know that our planet Earth is a huge place, full of different places? That's right! On each continent, country, state, city, and even in our neighborhood, we find unique places! And that's what we are going to explore in this project.

Introduction

Geography is the discipline that studies the places and the environment in which we live. It helps us understand how nature and society relate. Through it, we can learn more about the diversity of places that exist on our planet, how they were formed, what their characteristics are, and how people interact with them.

Project Objective:

The objective of the project is for each group to explore the concepts of city, countryside, beach, and forest through research, drawings, collages, and presentations. Additionally, the project aims to develop skills such as teamwork, communication, time management, research, and problem-solving.

Detailed Project Description:

Each group will be tasked with researching and creating a panel representing one of the places: city, countryside, beach, or forest. The panel should show the characteristics of the place, such as the climate, vegetation, animals, buildings, people, and typical activities. Students should also prepare a brief presentation about the chosen place.

Required Materials:

1. Large cardboard or paperboard to make the panel
2. Magazines, newspapers, markers, colored pencils, crayons, scissors, glue (materials for drawing and collage)
3. Internet access (computer, tablet, or smartphone) for research
4. Children's books or support materials about the places

Detailed Step-by-Step:

Step 1: Group Organization (1 class)

Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5. Each group will receive a sheet of paper to write down the names of the members, the place they will research, and the tasks to be performed.

Step 2: Research (2 classes)

Each group must research the place they chose. Research can be done with the help of the teacher, parents, in the library, or through the internet (always under adult supervision). Students should look for information about the characteristics of the place, such as the climate, vegetation, animals, buildings, people, and typical activities.

Step 3: Panel Planning and Materials Preparation (1 class)

With the collected information, each group must plan how to assemble their panel. Students should think about how to represent each of the characteristics of the chosen place. Then, they should prepare the necessary materials for creating the panel.

Step 4: Panel Creation (3 classes)

Now it's time to get to work! Each group must create their panel, drawing, gluing, and writing about the characteristics of the place. Remember, the panel should be colorful and well-crafted!

Step 5: Presentation Preparation (1 class)

In addition to the panel, each group must prepare a brief presentation about the place they researched. Students should rehearse what they will say and how they will show the panel to the class.

Step 6: Project Presentation (1 class)

On the last day, each group will have the opportunity to present their panel and talk about the place they researched. Students should pay attention to the presentations of the other groups and ask questions about the places their classmates researched.

Delivery Format:

Each group must deliver their panel ready and make the presentation to the class. Additionally, at the end of the week, each student must deliver to the teacher the sheet of paper with the group's planning, with the names of the members, the researched place, and the tasks performed.
