Practical Activity: "Exploring Our Community in Time and Space"

Project Objective:

The objective of this project is to explore our community, understanding how it has changed over time and how space influences the lives of the people living in it.

Project Description:

Students, in groups of 3 to 5, will be challenged to create a "Map of Time and Space of Our Community." This map should illustrate the changes that have occurred in the community over time, highlighting the influence of space on people's lives.

Necessary Materials:

• Large cardboard or paperboard
• Colored pencils, markers, crayons
• Blunt scissors
• Glue
• Magazines (for cutting and pasting)
• Newspapers (for cutting and pasting)
• Old photos of the community (if available)
• Computer with internet access (for research, with teacher or parent supervision)

Step by Step:

1. Research: Each group should conduct research on the history of the community. They can include information about the founding of the community, important events over time, changes in the landscape, etc. Students can interview older people in the community, research in books, on the internet (with supervision), and other resources.
