Practical Activity: 'Memory Explorers'

Project Objective

This project aims to encourage research, creativity, teamwork, and communication skills of the students, as well as to provide a reflection on the importance of objects in our lives and how they can tell stories.

Project Description

In this project, we will become true 'Memory Explorers'. Each group should choose an object of their preference and, with the help of their families, investigate the history of that object. You will discover when, how, and why the object was made, who used or uses it, and what memories it brings.

After the research, each group should create a small 'Memory Museum' in the classroom, where they will present the chosen object and the story they discovered. You can use drawings, photos, texts, and even build miniatures or models to tell the story of your object.

Necessary Materials

• Paper and pencil for notes
• Internet access for research (under adult supervision)
• Various materials for the assembly of the 'Memory Museum' (cardboard, markers, glue, scissors, small objects related to the theme, etc.)

Step by Step

1. Group Formation: Students should be divided into groups of 3 to 5 members. Each group will choose a name to identify themselves as true 'Memory Explorers'.

2. Choosing the Object: Each group should choose an object that has some special meaning to them. It can be a toy, a book, a piece of clothing, a decoration object, etc.

3. Research: With the help of their families, students should research the origin, use, and memory of the chosen object. You can talk to older family members, research on the internet (always under adult supervision), or even visit a museum.
