Spatial Figures

Activity Title: Space Figures Adventure

Project Objective:

This project aims to allow students to explore and better understand space figures, while working on essential skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, creative thinking, and communication.

Detailed Project Description:

Each group of students will be challenged to build a 'Space Figures World' using recyclable materials and then present the created world to the class. Each space figure must be built according to its properties, and students must explain the characteristics of each of the figures they have made.

Necessary Materials:

  • Boxes of various sizes (small, medium, and large)
  • Plastic bottles
  • Straws
  • Barbecue sticks
  • Modeling clay
  • Cardboard
  • Poster paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Glue
  • Blunt scissors
  • Colored pencils or crayons
  • Ruler

Step-by-Step for Activity Execution:

  1. Group Formation: Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 members. Each group will be responsible for building their own 'Space Figures World'.

  2. Planning: Each group must draw the 'Space Figures World' they will build. The drawing should include the position of each space figure and the materials that will be used in its construction.

  3. Construction of the Space World: Using recyclable materials, groups must start building their 'Space Figures World'. Remember, each figure must be built according to its properties.

  4. Presentation Preparation: While building, groups must also prepare the presentation they will make to the class. In the presentation, they must explain the characteristics of each space figure they have built.

  5. Presentation: Each group will present their 'Space Figures World' to the class. They must explain how they built each figure, its characteristics, and where they are used in our daily lives.

Delivery Format:

Students will deliver the drawing of the 'Space Figures World' they made and present the constructed world to the class. The presentation should be clear and organized so that everyone in the class can understand what was presented.

Reminder: All project steps must be properly documented and organized in a notebook or folder, which will be evaluated at the end of the activity.
