Student groups will create a mini-garden in a shoebox, containing representations of plants and animals made by themselves using recycled and/or craft materials.

In addition to assembling the garden, students should research the characteristics of the species represented, writing a brief informative text for each of them. These texts should discuss the physical appearance, habitat, diet, and some curiosity about the plant or animal.

To complete the project, each group must present their 'Garden of Discoveries' to the class, explaining what they learned during the research and assembly.
