Hands-on Activity: "Green Growth: The Power of Water and Light"
Project Objectives:

Project Description:
In this activity, each group will create a small garden inside a shoebox and observe the growth of plants under different conditions of light and water. Groups will record their observations and share their results with the class.
Required Materials:
- 4 shoeboxes
- Bean seeds (or any fast-germinating seed)
- Soil
- Water
- Tape
- Aluminum foil
- Pencil and paper for notes
- Camera or cell phone (to record progress, if available)
Step-by-Step:

Preparing the boxes: Get two shoeboxes and make several small holes in the bottom for water drainage. In the other two boxes, do not make holes. Cover the inside of one box with holes and one without holes with aluminum foil.

Planting the seeds: Fill all four boxes with soil and plant some bean seeds in each one of them.

Setting up the conditions: Now we have four boxes, each representing different conditions:
- Box 1: With light and water (Box without aluminum foil and with holes)
- Box 2: Without light, but with water (Box with aluminum foil and with holes)
- Box 3: With light, but without water (Box without aluminum foil and without holes)
- Box 4: Without light and without water (Box with aluminum foil and without holes)

Observation and registration: Place all boxes in suitable locations. Boxes 1 and 3 should be kept in a place where there is sunlight, and boxes 2 and 4 in a dark place. Also, remember to water the plants in boxes 1 and 2 regularly. Observe the growth of the plants in each box every day and record your observations.

Results presentation: After one month, each group should prepare a presentation of the results for the class. Use drawings, notes, photos (if available), and other materials to communicate your findings.
