That's why it's very important to learn about household accidents and how to prevent them.
Household accidents are usually unexpected situations that occur in our homes and can cause physical harm or even death. Many of these situations can be avoided if we know how to deal with them properly. Preventing household accidents is not just a matter for adults, children can and should also learn about it.
We humans are curious by nature. How many incredible discoveries have been made because of this curiosity, right? That's fantastic, however, in our homes, this curiosity can lead us to dangerous situations. When we don't know the risks that each thing can bring us, or rather, when we don't know how to avoid these risks, our curiosity can lead us to household accidents.
Introduction
In this project, we will study the most common household accidents, such as cuts with sharp objects, burns from hot liquids, electric shocks, and poisoning from cleaning products. You will learn that each object or situation in our home can become a risk if there are no precautions and preventive measures.
It is worth remembering, before anything else, that it is essential never to attempt these experiments without a responsible adult nearby. Everyone's safety always comes first!
Furthermore, you will exercise very important skills, such as teamwork, creative thinking, problem-solving, and time management. These skills go far beyond our project and will be useful throughout your life.

Practical Activity: "Home Security Superheroes"
Project Objective
Learn about the main types of household accidents (cuts, burns, electric shocks, and poisonings) and how to prevent them by creating a "Safe House".
Project Description
Each group will be responsible for building models of different rooms in a house, identifying possible dangers and providing preventive measures. In this task, besides learning about home security, students will work as a team, managing time to complete the assigned task, solving problems that may arise, and thinking creatively.
Required Materials:
- Cardboard boxes
- Colored paper
- Colored pens
- Blunt scissors
- Glue
- Magazines for cutting out
- Popsicle sticks
Step by Step:

Form groups of 3 to 5 students. Each group will be responsible for a room in the house (living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, etc).

Present the task to the students: they must turn the cardboard box into a room in the house. Inside this room, they must identify where the dangers for household accidents are and how we can prevent each of them.

The students should draw on the cardboard what the room of the house they are representing looks like and where the dangerous objects are. They can also cut out images from magazines to paste in the room.

In addition, the students should create small signs with preventive measures and place them next to the identified dangers. Example: next to the stove, a sign that says "Never leave pans with the handle sticking out of the stove!"

After completing the models, each group will present their room and the safety measures they identified.

In the end, all the models together will form a large "Safe House".
Delivery Format
Students must present their "Safe House" to the class, explaining all the safety measures they identified and applied in their model. This work must be delivered within 30 days, allowing students time to plan, execute, and review their project.
