The second stage of our adventure is Text Understanding. Now that we know how to research a text, it's time to understand what it really means. And how do we do that? Through reading strategies, such as identifying keywords, inferring implicit information, and making connections with our prior knowledge.

But why is it so important to learn how to research and understand texts? The answer is simple: because it makes us more critical and conscious citizens. When we are able to research and understand texts, we can form our own opinions, express our ideas clearly, and make informed decisions. Furthermore, researching and understanding texts are fundamental skills for our personal and professional development, as they help us acquire new knowledge, solve problems, and communicate effectively.

Project Objective

In this activity, students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 members and will be challenged to select a children's literature book of their choice. From this book, they should research about the author, the work, and the main characters. Additionally, students should create a summary of the story, express their opinion about the book, and plan a presentation for the rest of the class.

Step by Step

1. Group Formation

7. Panel Creation

For the presentation, students should create a panel with drawings, cutouts, photos, and texts about the book. They can use creativity and make the panel colorful and attractive.

8. Presentation

The big day has arrived! Each group will present to the rest of the class. It is important that all group members participate in the presentation, each in their role.

9. Activity Recording

To conclude, students should record the activity in photos, videos, or with a short written report. This record will be attached to the final work.
