Detailed Project Description

In this activity, students will create a giant "multiplication board," similar to a board game. Each square on the board will be a multiplication problem that the students will have to solve as a team. The more correct problems they solve, the further they will advance on the board. The team that reaches the end of the board first wins!

Required Materials

1. Large sheet of cardboard or card paper (for making the board)
2. Colored markers
3. Ruler
4. Scissors
5. Glue
6. A4 paper
7. Pencils and erasers
8. Dice (can be a regular die or a virtual die in a mobile app)

Step by Step

1. Group Division: Divide the class into groups of 3 to 5 students. Each group will be a team that will play the game together.

2. Board Creation: With the help of a ruler, draw a large 10x10 board on the cardboard or card paper. Each square on the board should have enough space to write a multiplication problem.

3. Multiplication Problems: Now, write a multiplication problem in each square on the board. The problems should vary in difficulty levels, ranging from simple (e.g., 2x3) to more complex (e.g., 7x9). Each square on the board should have a different problem.

4. Challenge Cards: Each team should create 5 challenge cards. On each card, write a multiplication problem that is more difficult than those on the board. The cards should be folded and placed in a separate envelope.

7. Challenge Card: If a player lands on a square marked with a special symbol, they must draw a challenge card and solve the multiplication problem. If they get it right, they can continue playing. If they get it wrong, they lose their turn.

8. Winner: The game continues until a team reaches the last square on the board. The team that arrives first wins!
