In this project, we will explore a very important math concept: multiplication by 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10. Have you noticed that these numbers pop up in many everyday situations? For example, when we want to know the total number of candies in 2 bags that each contain 5 candies, we need to multiply, right? 2 x 5 = 10! And when we want to know the total number of hours in 3 days that each have 24 hours? 3 x 24 = 72!
Multiplication is a math operation that helps us solve these and many other real-life situations. It's a way of adding a number to itself multiple times.
Introduction
Before we get started, we need to understand a few things about multiplication. It's represented by the symbol "x" and, just like addition and subtraction, it has properties too. The first one is commutativity, which means that the order of the factors does not change the product. For example, 2 x 3 is the same as 3 x 2.
Another important property is distributivity, which tells us that we can distribute a number to be multiplied by a sum. For example, 2 x (3 + 4) is the same as (2 x 3) + (2 x 4).

Project Goal

Detailed Project Description
You will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 students and embark on a "math expedition". Each group will be responsible for creating a board game that involves multiplication situations.
