Well, our eyes work like small cameras that capture light and turn it into images. To see well, we need to take good care of them. And so it is with our ears, which allow us to hear all the wonderful sounds around us. But, because they are so precious and sensitive, our eyes and ears can have some problems, especially if we do not take good care of them.

Now, have you ever imagined what your day would be like without being able to see or hear well? How do you think this would affect your daily life? Visual and auditory health is essential for our quality of life. It is because of them that we can enjoy a beautiful sunset, listen to our favorite music, read a good book, watch an exciting movie, and most importantly, learn new things every day at school.

Therefore, taking care of the health of our eyes and ears is so important. And do not be mistaken, children can also have hearing and vision problems! Therefore, it is essential that we learn from an early age to take good care of these precious senses of ours.

Activity Title:

"Detectives of the Senses: Investigating Auditory and Visual Health"

Project Objective:

The objective of the project is to understand the importance of auditory and visual health and learn how we can better take care of these precious senses.

Detailed Project Description:

In this activity, students will become true "Detectives of the Senses" and will conduct an investigation to learn more about auditory and visual health. They will conduct research, create informative posters, participate in various games and challenges, and finally, present their findings to the class.

Required Materials:

• A3 paper or cardboard
• Pencils and erasers
• Colorful pens
• Blunt scissors
• Glue
• Old magazines and newspapers
• Computer with internet access (for research)

Detailed Step-by-Step for Activity Execution:

1. Research:

• With the help of the teacher and/or parents, each group of students should research auditory and visual health. You can search in books, on the internet, or even ask a healthcare professional.
• Write down all the interesting and important facts you find. Remember to also look for tips on how to take good care of our eyes and ears.

2. Creation of the informative poster:

• Using the available materials, each group should create a poster that shows everything they have learned about auditory and visual health.
• You can draw, write, paste cut-out images from magazines or newspapers... Let your creativity soar!
• The poster should contain information about the importance of auditory and visual health, some of the problems that can occur with our eyes and ears, and how we can take good care of them.

3. Games and Challenges:

• With the posters ready, let's move on to the most fun part of our project: the games and challenges!
• The first challenge is called "Senses Treasure Hunt". Each group should choose 5 tips from the poster and create clues for their classmates to find the information on the poster.
• The second challenge is the "Senses Memory Game". Each group should create a memory game using information from their poster. The drawings on the cards can be related to eyes, ears, and care tips.

4. Final Presentation:

• Finally, each group will present their poster and show what they have learned about auditory and visual health to the class.
• During the presentation, you can play the challenges and games with the class. Whoever gets more answers right about the visual and auditory health tips gets a point. The winner is the one with the most points at the end.
