Students, in groups of 3 to 5, will create a board game called "Word Battle", where they will combine the fun of a game with the learning of different types of words. Each group will have to create their board, the rules, and the game cards.

Required Materials

• Cardboard or poster board to make the board
• Colored markers
• Dice
• Paper and pen to make the cards

Step by Step

1. Group Formation: Students group themselves into teams of 3 to 5 people.

2. Game Planning: Each group must discuss and plan how their game will be. They need to decide on the game's name, how the board will be, the rules, and how the cards will be.

3. Board Creation: Using cardboard or poster board, students draw the game board. They can use colored markers to make the board more attractive.

4. Card Creation: Students, together, must create the game cards. Each card should have a word written and the number of syllables that word has. For example, the word "hand" should be on the "monosyllable" card.

5. Rule Elaboration: Students must create the game rules. For example, when a player lands on a space, they must draw a card and say how many syllables the word has. If they guess correctly, they continue in the game; if they are wrong, they lose a turn.
