Project Objective

The objective of this project is to allow students to experience firsthand the process of artistic creation, enhancing their research, collaboration, critical and creative thinking skills, and above all, appreciation for art. In the end, each group will produce a collection of artworks, after exploring different artistic styles and techniques.

Detailed Project Description

In this project, students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 members. Each group will choose three different art styles to explore (for example, impressionism, abstract art, cubism, etc.). They will research these styles and create three artworks, each reflecting one of the chosen styles.

The estimated time for the project is two to four hours per student, and the project should be delivered one week after its introduction.

1. A3 size paper
2. Pencils and erasers
3. Paints, colored pens, crayons, or any other art material
4. Internet access for research

Detailed Step-by-Step

1. Divide the class into groups of 3 to 5 students.
2. Each group should choose three different artistic styles to explore. They should research these styles, learning about their historical context, the most famous artists, and the techniques used.
3. After the research, each group should discuss and decide how they will incorporate what they have learned into their own artworks.
4. Each group will then create three artworks - one for each style they chose. Students are encouraged to experiment with different media and techniques.
5. Once the artworks are completed, each group should prepare a presentation explaining their creations. This presentation should include information about the chosen art styles, the creation processes, and any difficulties encountered.

At the end of the project, the groups should deliver:

1. The three artworks created.
2. A report documenting their creation process. This report should include the following segments: Introduction, Development, Conclusions, and Bibliography.
   • In the introduction, students should explain why they chose the specific art styles and the relevance of these styles in the art world.
   • In the development, students should detail the research and creation process, explaining how they applied what they learned about the art styles in their own works. They should also discuss the techniques and tools they used, as well as the relationship between the various artistic languages they explored.
   • In conclusions, students should reflect on what they learned from the project, highlighting acquired skills and challenges encountered.
   • Finally, the bibliography should indicate the sources used for research.
