Multiplication is repeated addition. For example, 3 × 4 is the same as 3 + 3 + 3 + 3, which equals 12. But what happens when a number is missing? Let's say you know that 3 × ? = 12. How would you find the value of ? This is where multiplication with missing values comes in!

The key to solving this type of problem is to understand that multiplication is the inverse operation of division. In other words, if 3 × 4 = 12, then 12 ÷ 3 = 4. We can use this idea to solve multiplication problems with missing values.
