The practice of gymnastics has been recognized for its potential to improve physical health, develop fine and gross motor skills, as well as promote cognitive, emotional, and social development.
Although it can be seen as a competitive activity, gymnastics in an educational context is focused on participation and involvement of all, regardless of skills or previous experiences. This makes gymnastics a valuable educational tool, capable of bringing significant benefits to students' learning experience.

Activity Title: Create Your Own Gymnastics Circuit
Project Objective
The objective of this project is to design and execute a gymnastics circuit, using the skills acquired in previous classes and the theoretical concepts learned about gymnastics. The circuit should be challenging, involve gymnastics compound movements, and be achievable by team members.
Detailed Project Description
Students, in groups of 3 to 5, should perform two important activities at two different moments:
- Creation of the gymnastics circuit
- Execution of the gymnastics circuit
To assist in creating the circuit, groups should research different types of gymnastics movements, their origins, benefits, and how they are correctly executed. When executing the circuit, students must ensure that all group members can perform each exercise and pay attention to the correct and safe execution. In the end, each group must document the entire process in a report.
Required Materials
- Adequate space for gymnastics practice
- Mats and/or pads for safe gymnastics practice
- Gymnastics equipment (optional)
- Camera or smartphone for documentation
- Computer or paper and pen for report elaboration

Gather your group and discuss possible ideas for the circuit exercises, taking into account the diversity of skills within the group.

Research the gymnastics movements you have chosen, take notes on the characteristics of these movements, how they are performed, their purposes, and their benefits.

In the report elaboration, all groups must follow the structure below:
Introduction:

Development:
In this section, describe in detail the process the group went through from the conception of the circuit to its completion. This should include the research conducted, how the team decided on which movements to include, and how the circuit was designed. Additionally, describe the execution of the circuit, including the difficulties faced and how they were overcome.
Conclusions:
Reflect on the project here. What skills were necessary to complete the gymnastics circuit? What lessons were learned during the project? What worked well? What could be improved if the project were repeated?
