Introduction
Writing and speaking are two forms of expression that we use every day. When we speak, we produce sounds that are perceived by our ears and interpreted by our brains. In writing, we use symbols that represent these sounds. And that's where phonemes and letters come in.
Phonemes are the sounds we produce when we speak. They are the basic elements of speech and can be combined in various ways to form words. For example, in the word "casa" we have four phonemes: /k/ /a/ /z/ /a/.
Letters, on the other hand, are the written symbols we use to represent these sounds. Each letter of our alphabet represents one or more phonemes. For example, in the word "casa" we have four letters: c, a, s, a.

Project Description
In this activity, you will create an illustrated dictionary of words! Each group will be responsible for choosing five words and analyzing the phonemes and letters that make them up. In addition, you will draw an illustration for each word, making the dictionary more fun and colorful!
Necessary Materials
- Paper (preferably A4) or a notebook.
- Pencils, erasers, colored markers.
- Access to a dictionary (physical or online) for consultation.
Step by Step

Group Formation: Divide yourselves into groups of 3 to 5 students.

Word Choice: Each group must choose 5 words for its dictionary. The words can be from any theme, such as animals, food, objects, etc.

Research: Using a dictionary, each group should research the chosen words and write down the phonemes and letters that make them up. Remember: phonemes are the sounds and letters are the written symbols.

Illustration: Now it's time to use your creativity! For each word, you should draw an illustration that represents it. For example, if the chosen word is "dog," draw a dog.
