In the classroom, when we write an essay or a paper, we are doing something very similar to what book writers do. Of course, our scale is smaller, but the idea is the same: we put our ideas on paper and create a story or an informative text.

And did you know that, just like book writers, we also need to revise our texts? Revision is the process of reading what we wrote to see if everything is correct, if the ideas are clear, if the sentences make sense. And this is a very important part of writing!

Importance of Text Production and Revision

Knowing how to produce and revise text is essential to communicate well in writing. When we write a text, we are sharing our ideas with other people, and we want them to clearly understand what we are saying, right? For that, we need to know how to organize our ideas and express them clearly and coherently.

Phase 1: Planning

Phase 2: Production
