Practical Activity: "Creating Our Visual Art Gallery"

Project Objective

To deepen students' understanding of Visual Artistic Expression, provide a practical experience of creating artworks, and develop the ability to appreciate and critique visual art.

Detailed Project Description

Students, divided into groups of 3 to 5, will explore different artistic styles and create a "Visual Art Gallery" representing at least four different styles. Each group must choose an artistic style and produce one artwork in each style, totaling at least four distinct artworks for their gallery.

Styles may include, but are not limited to: Expressionism, Surrealism, Modern Art, Pop Art, and Contemporary Art. Additionally, students must research and include references to Brazilian artists.

As part of the project, students must also prepare a detailed presentation of their gallery, including the historical contextualization of the chosen styles and the analysis of the artwork created.

Required Materials

1. Various art materials for creating the artworks (paints, brushes, paper, pens, etc.)
2. Computer with internet access for research.
3. Paper and pen for the final report.

Detailed Step-by-Step for Activity Execution

1. Formation of groups and assignment of visual art styles.
2. In-depth research and study of the assigned styles, including their origins, characteristics, representative artists, and historical contexts.
3. Creation of an artwork representing each assigned style to the group.
4. Preparation of a presentation explaining each style and the artworks created.
5. Writing a detailed report on the creation process and the contextualization of the chosen visual art styles.

Project Delivery

The project delivery must include the visual art gallery created by the group and a written report containing:

1. Introduction: Presentation of the theme, relevance, real-world application, and the project's objective.
2. Development: Detailed description of the chosen visual art styles, the theory behind the styles, the activity performed, the methodology used, and the artworks created.
3. Conclusions: Recap of the main points, reflection on the learning obtained, and conclusions drawn from the project.
4. Bibliography: Sources of research used, such as books, websites, videos, etc.

The report should complement the practical experience, providing a framework for students to reflect on their learning process and the skills acquired, such as research and analysis of visual art, teamwork, time management, and creative expression.
