Within this space, the Earth - our home in the universe - performs complex movements, such as rotation and translation, which have profound implications for life on the planet.
The movements of the Earth determine, for example, the alternation between day and night, the seasons of the year, and play a fundamental role in the climate and meteorological patterns of the planet. Understanding these movements is essential not only to comprehend Geography but also concepts of Astronomy, Physics, and Natural Sciences. This project aims to promote this understanding in an interdisciplinary and engaging way.
Importance of the Theme
Understanding the movements of the Earth and the concept of space is fundamental to our daily lives. It allows us to understand the reasons for climatic differences throughout the year, as well as the impacts of climate on human activities, agriculture, economy, and our health. It also helps us understand how humans have influenced and altered space, and how these changes have global repercussions.
Furthermore, exploring this theme in a group project format will enhance important skills, such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking. These are valuable skills not only for academic life but for life in general.

Project Objective
This project aims to propose a didactic and engaging approach to the movements of the Earth and the concept of space. The group must carry out a series of experiments and presentations to better understand these topics. In addition, the project involves the creation of a detailed report that synthesizes the knowledge acquired throughout the process.
Detailed Project Description
The project is divided into three main phases.

Research and Theoretical Learning: Students must research the concepts of space and the movements of the Earth, including rotation, translation, and precession. They must understand how these movements affect the climate, the seasons of the year, the passage of day and night, etc. They must also explore how space is altered and influenced by human activities.

Experiments and Presentations: Based on their research, students must prepare a series of demonstrative experiments and presentations to explain the movements of the Earth and the concept of space in a creative and engaging way. They can use what they have learned to create models, dances, plays, drawings, music, videos, digital presentations, etc.

Report Production: Students must produce a detailed report documenting the entire research, learning, and experimentation process. The report should include an introduction, a discussion of the theory behind the project, a detailed description of the experiments and presentations, an analysis of the results, and conclusions.

Detailed Step-by-Step for Activity Execution
- Divide the class into groups of 3 to 5 students.
- Distribute the project instructions and discuss with the students the importance of the concepts of space and the movements of the Earth.
- Start the research and theoretical learning phase. Guide the students to research using the suggested educational resources and any other available resources. During this phase, students should meet regularly to discuss what they have learned.
- Once students have a good understanding of the concepts, they should begin planning and preparing their experiments and presentations. Encourage them to be creative and think of innovative ways to demonstrate the concepts.
- Let the students present their experiments and presentations to the class. This can lead to valuable discussions and learning opportunities.
- After the presentations, students should start writing the report. The report should reflect the group's work and should be written in a clear and cohesive manner.
