Introduction

Studying the Middle Ages allows us to understand the formation of the modern world. During this period, the foundations for many of the institutions and practices we know today were established, such as the justice system, the university, and hospitality.

During the Middle Ages, the world was divided very differently from today. Society was hierarchical, divided into three groups: those who fought (the nobility and knights), those who prayed (the clergy), and those who worked (the peasants). Each group had its own responsibilities and rights, and mobility between them was very limited.

However, it was also a period of great changes and conflicts. The Viking invasions, the expansion of Islam, the Crusades, the Black Death - all these events had a profound impact on medieval society, transforming it and shaping it in ways that we can still see today.

Project Objective:

The objective of this project is to provide a deeper and more concrete understanding of life in the Middle Ages, focusing on three aspects: the feudal system, daily life in a medieval castle, and the Arab invasion of the Iberian Peninsula. Students will work in groups of 3 to 5 to create three-dimensional models representing these three aspects and a detailed written report on the creation process and research conducted.

The project should be as realistic and historically accurate as possible, based on their research.
