Contextualization
Language is the main form of communication among human beings. Through it, we can express our feelings, desires, thoughts, and ideas. It allows us to interact in society and is through it that most of our learning takes place. Within language, we have grammar which, among other elements, is composed of verbs. But do you know what a verb is and what its importance is in constructing the meaning of sentences, phrases, and texts?
Verbs are words that express actions, states, or natural phenomena and are fundamental in constructing meaning in texts. They are responsible for informing what is happening, what happened, or what will happen in a given situation. With a single verb, it is possible to completely change the meaning of a sentence, making it happy, sad, serious, light, among others.
Now imagine if we could explore this universe of verbs in a playful and fun way? Yes, that is possible! And that is the proposal of our project. Through it, we will understand how verbs help in constructing the meaning of texts and how they become indispensable tools for communication and expression of ideas.
In our daily lives, we use texts for various purposes: communicating through social networks, reading and writing messages, researching on the internet, reading books, newspapers, and magazines, studying for exams, among others. Verbs are present in all these moments and help us understand the meaning of what is being said or read. Therefore, understanding verbs and knowing their use well allows us to use language more appropriately, clearly, and objectively.

Activity Title: "Exploring the World of Verbs"
Project Objective
This project aims to encourage students to explore and deepen their knowledge about the role of verbs in constructing the meaning of the text and to improve collaboration and teamwork.
Detailed Project Description
Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 members, and each group will be responsible for creating a story. This story must be original, creative, and, above all, must contain the appropriate use of verbs that help to construct the meaning of the text.
However, there is an additional challenge: each group will receive a list of verbs that must be used in the story. These verbs will be chosen by the teacher with the aim of encouraging students to explore the use of verbs in different contexts and verb tenses.
Required Materials
- Paper and Pen or a text editing program.
- List of verbs provided by the teacher.
Detailed Step-by-Step for Carrying Out the Activity

Group Formation: students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 members.

Delivery of the list of verbs: each group will receive a list of verbs that must be used in the story.

Story Creation: now is the time to put creativity to work! Students must create an original and interesting story that uses all the verbs provided by the teacher.

Text Revision: after the story is ready, the group must carefully review the text, checking if all the verbs from the list were used and if they are suitable for the context of the story.

Preparation of the final report: after completing the story, students must write a report containing an introduction, development, conclusions, and bibliography used.
The introduction should contextualize the theme, explain its relevance and application in the real world, and detail the objective of this project.
In the development, students must explain the theory behind verbs, detail the activity that was carried out, indicate the methodology used, and present the story created.
In the conclusion, students must summarize the main points of the activity, the learnings obtained, and the conclusions drawn.
In the bibliography, students must indicate the sources they relied on to work on the project, such as books, web pages, videos, etc.
The project has a deadline of one month to be delivered, and each student should spend between five to ten hours working on it.
The final report must be submitted in digital format, and the story created must be presented to the class.
