Introduction
In this project, we will explore the wonders and challenges of Portuguese spelling. We will focus on two main aspects: the correct spelling of words and checking the spelling of a word according to the standard of the language. To do this, you will form groups of 3 to 5 people and carry out practical and fun activities that will challenge you to use the spelling rules effectively and creatively.
During the process, you will not only learn about the spelling rules, but also develop important socio-emotional skills, such as time management, communication, problem solving, creative thinking, and proactivity. The goal is that by the end of this project, you will feel more confident in your spelling and be able to use the Portuguese language more effectively.

Practical Activity
Activity Title: "Orthographic Detectives"
Project objective:
The main objective of this activity is to improve students' ability to spell words correctly and check the spelling of words, in addition to developing important skills such as teamwork, time management, communication, problem solving, creative thinking, and proactivity.
Detailed Project Description:
In this project, groups of students will act as "Orthographic Detectives". Each group will receive a list of misspelled words. They will have to investigate, find the errors, correct them and explain why the word was wrong. To do this, they can use online resources, such as dictionaries, as well as physical tools, such as books, manuals, etc.
Required Materials:
- List of misspelled words (which will be provided by the teacher).
- Dictionaries
- Writing guides
- Reliable online resources
Activity Step by Step:
- Form groups of 3 to 5 students.
- Distribute the list of misspelled words to each group.
- The groups should, together, try to find the errors in the words and correct them.
- For each word corrected, students should explain why it was wrong and what the corresponding spelling rule is.
- The groups should organize their findings into a report, which will be the final product of the project.
Project Deliverables:
The final product of this project is a written report that must contain:
- Introduction: explain the theme of the project, the relevance of spelling in the Portuguese language and define the objective of this project.
