In our culture, narratives such as fables, myths, and legends are important tools that help shape our worldview and understand the reality that surrounds us. These text genres not only entertain but also teach, provoke reflection, and stimulate creativity.

Fables are short tales, usually starring animals with human characteristics, that convey a moral or life lesson. Myths, on the other hand, are traditional stories that attempt to explain the unknown, such as the origin of the world, the universe, and human beings, usually involving gods and supernatural beings. Legends are folk tales passed down through generations, usually containing a mix of historical facts with exaggerations and fantastic elements.

Introduction

In this project, you will dive into the universe of text genres, focusing on fables, myths, and legends. You will be able to identify the characteristics of each of these genres, learn about their origin, purpose, and importance in our culture. By delving into the analysis of these texts, it will be possible to understand the formation of scenarios and characters through lexical choices, as well as to recognize the effects of verb tenses, considering the text genre and communicative intention.

These text genres are essential for our development as individuals and society. Through them, we learn important lessons, reflect on existential questions, and gain a deeper understanding of different cultures. Additionally, we develop valuable skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and empathy. This project will allow you to explore these narratives in a playful and interesting way.

Title: "Recreating Narratives: A Journey Through Fables, Myths, and Legends"

Project Objective

The objective of this project is to understand and apply concepts related to text genres: fables, myths, and legends. Students will immerse themselves in these narratives, analyze them, compare them, and, in the end, create an original fable, myth, and legend.

Detailed Project Description

The project will be carried out in groups of 3 to 5 students and will last approximately 3 weeks (over twelve hours per student). Students will delve into the study of the text genres fables, myths, and legends, through reading, critical analysis, and later, by creating their own narratives.

1. Research and Analysis (1 week): In this stage, students will read and analyze different fables, myths, and legends. They should discuss in groups the characteristics of each genre, the message or lesson conveyed, the linguistic elements used (verb tenses, lexical choices, cohesive resources, etc.), the representation of characters and scenarios.

2. Comparison and Contrast (1 week): Groups will compare and contrast the different narratives analyzed in terms of their structure, themes, characters, and style. Students can create comparative tables, graphs, or any other form of representation to demonstrate their findings.

3. Creation of Narratives (1 week): Finally, each group will create an original fable, myth, and legend, applying what they have learned in the previous stages. The stories should reflect the characteristic elements of each text genre.

Required Materials

1. Computers or tablets with internet access for research.
2. Papers and pens for notes and drawings.
3. Books, tales, or digital texts containing fables, myths, and legends.

Detailed Step-by-Step

1. Divide the class into groups of 3 to 5 students.
2. Provide students with the list of suggested resources and guide them to do additional research if necessary.
3. During the first week, groups should focus on reading and analyzing the fables, myths, and legends they have chosen.
4. In the second week, students should work on comparing and contrasting the narratives they have read.
5. During the third week, each group should create their own narratives (a fable, a myth, and a legend).
6. At the end, each group should present their stories to the class and discuss the creation process.

Project Deliverables

At the end of the project, each group must deliver:

1. Written Report: This document should include the four main topics (Introduction, Development, Conclusions, and Bibliography), where they will describe the research, analysis, and creation process, showing their learnings and discoveries. The introduction should contextualize the theme, the development should explain the theory about text genres and the methodology used in the project, while the conclusions should summarize their main points, explaining the learnings obtained and the conclusions drawn about the project. The bibliography should list the sources used to work on the project.

2. Original Narratives: Groups must deliver the original stories (fable, myth, and legend) they created. The stories can be delivered in text, audio, or video format.

3. Oral Presentation: Each group should prepare an oral presentation (10 to 15 minutes) to share their original stories and the creation process with the class.

Students should be encouraged to use their creativity and critical thinking throughout the project, strengthening their technical and socio-emotional skills, such as time management, communication, problem-solving, creative thinking, proactivity, among others.
