The climate, for example, is strongly influenced by the existing biomes. Forests have the ability to regulate the climate by absorbing carbon dioxide, one of the main gases responsible for global warming.

Throughout history, humanity has always depended on resources from biomes. We use wood from forests to build our homes, fish in rivers and oceans, cultivate food in fertile plains, and extract minerals from mountains and deserts.
