First, gather information about the history of the location. When was it created? What was it like before? Was there human intervention? Which species were introduced over time and which were extinct from the region?
After the research, make regular visits to the location during the month to document and observe the species present and how they interact with the environment and each other. Make detailed notes and take photos to document your findings.
Finally, based on your observations, research, and group discussions, create a model representing the ecological succession of the chosen area, showing what the pioneer species were, the intermediate ones, and what the current climax species are. You should also predict the future of that environment.
