Ancient Rome is one of the most fascinating and intricate civilizations in human history. Its history and political evolution, from Monarchy through the Republic to the Empire, reflect our own evolution as a society and civilization.

To understand the Alma Mater of Western culture, we need to delve into classical antiquity and allow ourselves to travel through the centuries, through the minds and hearts of those who shaped not only a city but a world.

Ancient Rome was a city-state, then a republic, and finally an empire that existed in the central region of the Italian peninsula, along the Mediterranean Sea. The monarchical regime, the first politically organized in Rome, lasted from 753 BC to 509 BC. The Roman Republic, in turn, succeeded the Monarchy and lasted from 509 BC to 27 BC.

Roman Monarchy is the period of ancient Roman civilization characterized by the autocratic rule of the king. During the Republic, Rome transformed from a city-state with influence over the immediate regions of Latium into a power that controlled the entire Italian peninsula and had dominion over the Mediterranean world.

The importance of studying this period of history lies in the fact that many of the Roman institutions, traditions, and practices of that time still influence our modern society. The foundations of law, architecture, politics, war, and art that we see today have their roots in Ancient Rome.

This project will allow you, students, the opportunity to deeply explore these concepts, investigate the past, and discover the connections to the present. It is an opportunity to learn more about how human society has been shaped and continues to evolve, and the roles that politics, economy, culture, and international relations have played in this process.

This exhibition should offer a detailed and engaging perspective on the life and political, social, cultural, and economic evolution of Rome during these periods.

Students will be responsible for all aspects of the exhibition, from research and content development to the creation and implementation of the virtual exhibition.

The exhibition should include, but not be limited to:

1. Timeline of key events defining Roman Monarchy and Republic.
2. Analysis of the political processes of these periods, including government systems, key leaders, political conflicts and challenges, achievements, and failures.
