The actions of an individual or a group of people can have global impacts, affecting people from different cultures, countries, and realities. How to deal with these cultural and ethical differences in a globalized world is a very relevant and current issue.

The internet and technology have made our world more connected. With a click, we can interact with people from anywhere in the world. But this has also brought new ethical questions. For example, what is acceptable in one culture may be offensive in another. How do we respect diversity and differences in such a connected world? And how do we use technology ethically?

These are complex questions and there are no easy or definitive answers. That's why it's important for you, as future global citizens, to be prepared to think about these issues, understand different perspectives, and make ethical choices.

Practical Activity: "Ethics Online: A Look at the Globalized World"

Project Objective

The main objective of this project is to stimulate reflection, debate, and understanding of the meaning and importance of ethics in a globalized world, focusing specifically on the conduct and interpersonal relationships established in the virtual environment.

Detailed Project Description

Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 members. Each group should analyze a problematic ethical situation on the internet, which can be real or fictional (but plausible). The situation should involve different cultures and countries, to reflect globalization. Some examples may include cyberbullying, spreading fake news, invasion of privacy, digital plagiarism, among others.

Groups are encouraged to use creativity to present the situation in a playful way. It can be through a performance, an animation, a comic strip, a video, among other formats.

Required Materials

• Internet access for research.
• Various materials for the presentation of the situation (cardboards, pens, camera, animation software, etc.), depending on the chosen format.

Activity Steps

1. Formation of groups and choice of the ethical situation to be analyzed.
2. Research and discussion within the group about the chosen situation.
3. Creation of the script or plan for the presentation.
4. Production of the presentation.
5. Presentation to the class and discussion with classmates and the teacher.

Project Deliverables

In addition to the presentation, each group must deliver a written report on the project:

1. Introduction: Describe the chosen situation, contextualizing it and explaining its relevance and application in the globalized world. Also explain the project's objective.

2. Development: Explain the ethical theory that underpins the analysis of the situation. Describe the activity in detail, including how the group organized, the methodology used for the analysis and production of the presentation. Present and discuss the results of the discussion within the group and in the debate with the class.

3. Conclusion: Recap the main points of the analysis and presentation, explicitly state the learnings obtained and the conclusions about the ethical issue discussed.

4. Bibliography: Indicate the sources used for research and theoretical foundation, both on the specific ethical issue and on ethics in general.

This project is an opportunity for students to deepen their knowledge of ethics, exercise their research, analysis, teamwork, and communication skills, and at the same time, reflect on relevant and current issues of coexistence in an increasingly connected and globalized world.
