The main focus of this project is to understand "The individual and subjectivity in contemporary society". In this context, Philosophy analyzes how we, as individuals, shape, express, and understand our subjectivity in an increasingly complex and interconnected society.

The key theoretical concept is subjectivity, which concerns how each individual experiences, interprets, and interacts with the world. It is shaped by a variety of factors, such as life experiences, personal beliefs, cultural, and religious beliefs. On the other hand, subjectivity can also influence how we perceive reality and make decisions, which, in our case, can affect how we act and react within society.

Contemporary society, characterized by its speed, globalization, and technology, significantly influences the construction of an individual's subjectivity. With the expansion of communication channels and easy access to information and opinions from around the world, the process of shaping our subjectivity has become even more complex and dynamic.

The discussion about the individual and subjectivity in contemporary society is not just a philosophical exercise, but a real and relevant issue in our daily lives. Our subjectivity influences how we relate to the world and others, including how we feel, think, and act in the face of the challenges and opportunities presented by contemporary society.

Furthermore, understanding how contemporary society influences our subjectivity and the formation of our self can serve as an important tool for dealing with issues such as cultural diversity, interaction on social networks, consumption, and identity.

Practical Activity

Activity Title: The "Selfie" of Subjectivity in Contemporary Society

Activity Objective:

This activity aims to stimulate students to use their critical analysis, research, and teamwork skills to explore and understand the concept of subjectivity and how it is shaped and influenced by contemporary society.

Detailed Activity Description:

1. Students will form groups of 3 to 5 people.
2. Each group must choose a social network (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.), which will be the basis for analyzing the construction of subjectivity in contemporary society.
3. After choosing the social network, each group must conduct a detailed research analyzing how users of that platform express their subjectivity through posts, comments, images, videos, etc.
4. The research should address the following questions: How do these users present themselves? How do they interact with each other? How do they express their ideas, values, and beliefs? What are the most discussed topics? How do technology and globalization influence the expression of subjectivity?
5. In addition, the research should address issues such as cultural diversity, interaction on social networks, consumption, and identity.
6. Each group must prepare a presentation on the results of their research. The presentation should consist of slides (Powerpoint or another format) and contain graphs, images, and/or videos that illustrate their findings. The slides should follow this structure: Introduction, Theme Contextualization, Development, Conclusions, Bibliography used.
7. The presentation should be made to the entire class. Each group member must actively participate in the presentation, demonstrating a cohesive understanding of the concepts and results presented.

Required Materials:

1. Computer with internet access for research.
2. Slide creation program (PowerPoint, Google Slides, etc).

Detailed Step-by-Step:

1. Form groups of 3 to 5 students.
2. Each group chooses a social network for their research.
3. Conduct a detailed research on the chosen social network, keeping in mind the research questions mentioned above.
4. Record observations, capturing relevant images, videos, or posts whenever possible (respecting privacy and copyright issues).
5. Discuss the results within the group and organize the findings logically and coherently.
6. Create a slide presentation to present the group's findings.
7. Present the research and findings to the rest of the class.

Connection of Project Deliverables with Activities:

After completing the practical part of the project, students should write a report following the presented format: Introduction, Development, Conclusions, and Bibliography used.

The Introduction should contextualize the research conducted and the chosen social network. In the Development section, students should detail the research method, analysis of the collected data, and discussion of the results obtained. In the Conclusions section, students should summarize the main points discussed during the project, synthesizing what they learned about subjectivity and contemporary society through this activity. Finally, in the Bibliography, students should list all references used during the research.

Remember that this report is not just an academic task, but an opportunity to reflect on what you have learned and on the skills you have developed throughout this project.
