On the other hand, responsibilities refer to the duties or obligations that citizens have towards society. This can include things like paying taxes, obeying the law, and, in some societies, mandatory military service.

However, rights and responsibilities are not inherently fixed or static - they have and will continue to evolve as societies change and develop. This dynamism is one of the most fascinating aspects of Rights and Responsibilities and will be a focus of our work in this project.

In today's world, Rights and Responsibilities have become an increasingly important topic of discussion. Social, economic, and political inequalities have led to growing demands for a redefinition and expansion of citizens' rights and responsibilities, particularly for marginalized and disadvantaged groups. In this context, it is crucial for us as citizens to understand what our rights and responsibilities are, how they are determined, and how we can influence these processes.

Understanding the foundations of Rights and Responsibilities is also fundamental for effective participation in society. By understanding our rights, we can protect ourselves from abuse and injustice. Similarly, recognizing our responsibilities helps us to contribute meaningfully to building a more just and equitable society.

Activity Title: "Active Citizenship: Exploring Our Rights and Responsibilities"

Project Goal:

The goal of this project is to provide students with a deeper understanding of their rights and responsibilities as citizens, and how these are applied in society. Furthermore, we will study how these concepts have evolved over time and how they are influenced by different social, political, and cultural contexts. The activity will be carried out in groups of 3 to 5 students and will have a duration of one month.

Detailed Project Description:

Each group will be responsible for researching a specific right or responsibility. This research will cover how that right or responsibility was established, how it has evolved over time, and how different social, political, and cultural contexts influence its interpretation and application.

The group will then develop a set of activities aimed at creating an awareness campaign around their chosen right or responsibility. These activities can include creating posters, pamphlets, blogs, videos, or any other type of media that the group deems appropriate for their campaign.

Materials Required:

The materials required will depend on the format of media that the group chooses for their campaign. However, the initial research will require access to the internet and resources such as books and articles on Rights and Responsibilities.

Step-by-Step Guide for Carrying Out the Activity:

1. Group formation and topic selection (2 hours): Students will form groups of 3 to 5 members and choose a right or responsibility to research.

2. Initial research (3 hours): Students will conduct research on how their chosen right or responsibility was established, how it has evolved over time, and how different social, political, and cultural contexts influence its interpretation and application.

3. Awareness campaign planning (2 hours): Based on their research, groups will plan a set of activities aimed at raising awareness about their chosen right or responsibility.

4. Awareness campaign execution (2-3 hours): Groups will carry out their planned activities. This may include creating posters, pamphlets, blogs, videos, or any other form of media that the group chooses.

5. Report (1-2 hours): Finally, each group will write a detailed report on the work they have done.

Project Deliverables:

Each group will present the awareness campaign they created and submit their final report in the form of a document that contains the following structure:

• Introduction: In this section, students should contextualize the topic, explain its relevance and real-world application, and describe the goal of the project.

• Development: Here, the group should elaborate on the theory behind the rights and responsibilities, explain the activity in detail, indicate the methodology used in the research and the realization of the campaign, and present and discuss the results obtained.

• Conclusion: Students should conclude the work by restating their main points, explaining what they learned, and what conclusions they drew about the project.

• Bibliography: In this section, the group should indicate the sources they used for the project, such as books, web pages, videos, etc.
