Humanism, which followed Troubadourism, occurred during the transition from the Middle Ages to the Modern Age, approximately in the 15th century. Humanity became the center of all things, contrasting with the theocentric view of the previous period.

Practical Activity: 'From Troubadours to Humanists: A Literary Journey'

Project Objective

The objective of this project is to help students deepen their knowledge about the literary movements of Troubadourism and Humanism in an interactive, collaborative, and playful way, through the creation of a theater piece that portrays the main aspects and characteristics of both movements. Additionally, this project will integrate the Arts discipline, where students will be responsible for the visual and sound production of the play.

Detailed Project Description

Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 members. Each group must produce and present a theatrical piece of up to 20 minutes, reflecting the characteristics of the Troubadourism and Humanism movements. The play should follow a two-part structure, where the first part represents Troubadourism and the second part represents the transition to Humanism.

Students will be encouraged to use various forms of expression and artistic languages to develop their project, such as music, dance, visual arts, etc. Creativity is a key point, and students are encouraged to think outside the box.

Required Materials

The necessary materials will depend on each group's artistic conception for the play. However, the following materials may be useful:

• Clothing and accessories for costumes
• Materials for scenography (cardboard, paints, fabrics)
• Musical instruments, if the play includes musical elements
• Sound and lighting equipment, if available

Step by Step

1. Research and Script: Students should start with a detailed research on Troubadourism and Humanism, focusing on the main characteristics of each movement and how they reflect the society of the time. Then, they should create a script for the play, ensuring that the main aspects of each movement are well represented.

2. Development: With the script ready, students should start the production process of the play. This includes rehearsals, set and costume construction, and organization of technical elements.

3. Presentation: Each group will present their play to the class. It is essential that all group members participate in the presentation.

4. Report: After the presentation, students must produce a detailed report on the project, discussing how they represented each literary movement, the decisions made during production, and how they collaborated as a group.

2. Report: Students must write a document following the structure of a report containing four main topics: Introduction, Development, Conclusions, and Bibliography.

In the Introduction, students should contextualize the theme addressed in the theatrical play, its relevance, and the project's objective.

Next, in the Development, they should detail the theory behind the literary movements addressed, explain the theatrical play in detail, indicate the methodology used to develop it, as well as discuss the results obtained.

In the Conclusions, students should summarize the main points presented, express the learnings obtained, and the conclusions drawn from the project.

Finally, in the Bibliography, students should list all sources of information used to develop the project.
