"Dissecting the Intention: A Deep Analysis of Intentionality in Texts"

Project Objective:

This project aims to deepen students' understanding of the concept of intentionality in communication. Students will analyze a text to identify the author's intentionality and thus improve their skills in reading, interpreting, and creating texts.

Detailed Project Description:

The groups, consisting of 3 to 5 students, will choose a text (it can be an article, a short story, a poem, an editorial, etc.) and conduct a detailed analysis, focusing on the author's intentionality. The analysis should explore the text's purpose, target audience, word choice, structure, among others.

Students will discuss their ideas and perceptions as a group and then create a written report detailing their findings and conclusions.

Required Materials:

• Chosen text for analysis
• Research materials such as books and internet access
• Note-taking materials such as a notebook and pen or a word processor on the computer

Detailed Step-by-Step:

1. Formation of groups of 3 to 5 students each.
2. Selection of the text to be studied by the group. This text should be of adequate complexity and length to allow for a thorough examination.
3. Careful reading of the chosen text by all group members.
4. Group discussion of initial impressions and thoughts about the text. Each member should share their opinion on the author's intentionality.
5. The group begins researching and discussing the context in which the text was written (author, target audience, time and place, etc).
6. Based on the discussion and research, students identify and annotate the elements that point to the author's intentionality.
7. Review and discussion of the results found by the group. The goal is to reach a consensus on the author's intentionality in the text.
8. Each group must write the report detailing their findings and conclusions.
9. Review of the report by all group members to ensure accuracy and clarity before submitting the final report.

The conclusion of this practical activity should result in the delivery of the report. This report should have an Introduction, where the student will contextualize the theme, its relevance and real-world application, and the project's objective. In the Development section, the student should explain the theory behind intentionality, detail the activity, indicate the methodology used, and present and discuss the results obtained. In the Conclusion, the student should summarize the main points, explain the learnings obtained, and draw conclusions about the project. Finally, in the Bibliography, the student should indicate the sources used to work on the project.

This project will require students to demonstrate technical and socio-emotional skills, including text comprehension, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, time management, and writing skills.
