Activity Title: "Los Pronombres Complemento in Practice: A Board Game"

Project Objective:

Develop the understanding and proper use of direct and indirect pronouns in the Spanish language through the creation and experience of an educational board game.

Detailed Project Description:

Each group of students will be responsible for creating an educational board game that involves the identification and correct use of complement pronouns in Spanish. The game should contain questions and answers that will allow players to advance on the board when answered correctly.

Throughout the game development, students will have to research, study, and discuss the topic to elaborate the correct questions and answers, solidifying their knowledge regarding the use of complement pronouns in Spanish.

Necessary Materials:

  • Cardboard or any other sturdy material for the board creation.
  • Pens or colored pencils.
  • Small pieces to be used as pawns.
  • Dice.
  • Paper and pen for the elaboration of questions and answers.

Detailed Step-by-Step:

  1. Research about the use of complement pronouns in Spanish using the study sources suggested in the context.
  2. Discuss the acquired information as a group and together elaborate a set of rules for the game, deciding how many squares the board will have, what will be the game mechanics (for example, answering a question to advance), among other details.
  3. Write a set of questions (with their correct answers) about the use of complement pronouns, which will be used in the game. The questions should address both the use of direct and indirect complement pronouns.
  4. Create the board, the design of the game pieces, and all necessary components for gameplay.
  5. Play the game developed by the group, using the created questions and answers. It is important that all group members participate in the game to evaluate if the rules are clear and if the game is properly educational and challenging.
  6. Finally, the students must write a report, presenting the created game, how it works, what were the challenges and conclusions obtained during the project execution.

Project Delivery:

At the end of the project, students must deliver the created board game and a written report with:

  1. Introduction: Description of the theme, its applications, and the project's objective.
  2. Development: Explanation of the theory about complement pronouns, detailed description of the created game, rules and formulated questions, explanation of the methodology used, and discussion of the results obtained after the game application.
  3. Conclusion: Recap of the main points, reflection on the learning obtained, discussion of the conclusions drawn during the project.
  4. Bibliography: List of sources used during the project elaboration.

The conclusion should include a reflection on what the students learned during the project execution and on the effectiveness of the board game as a learning tool. Additionally, it should include suggestions on how the game could be improved or adapted for other grammatical topics.

The delivery aims to consolidate the learning about the use of complement pronouns, as well as develop skills such as teamwork, communication, proactivity, time management, and creative thinking.
