In this sense, the study of articles, contractions, and the neutral article in Spanish proves to be a fundamental topic for the correct use of this language. After all, they are present in practically every sentence we construct.

In the Spanish language, just like in Portuguese, articles are words that accompany nouns, serving the function of indicating them and often specifying them. They are divided into definite and indefinite, and it is essential to understand their rules and applications. Furthermore, in Spanish, we have the neutral article 'lo', which is used in very specific situations and does not have a direct equivalent in Portuguese.

Contraction, on the other hand, is a linguistic phenomenon that occurs when two words come together, forming one. In Spanish, it happens, for example, when a definite article meets prepositions like 'a' and 'de'. Understanding this phenomenon is essential for us to write and speak correctly in Spanish.

Considering the importance and scope of these concepts in our daily communication, this project will provide you with the opportunity to explore a practical and interactive dimension of this theme. Through the development of a playful group game, you will be able to deepen your knowledge, solve problems along the way, and, above all, have fun during the process.

Activity Title: 'Sentence Builders' Game'

Project Objective

The project's objective is to apply the concepts of articles, contractions, and the neutral article in Spanish to sentence construction and, thus, develop language skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and creativity. This project also aims to provide a playful and engaging environment for learning.

Detailed Project Description

Each group should create a game called 'Sentence Builders'. The game will be based on creating sentences in Spanish using articles (definite and indefinite), the neutral article, and contractions correctly. The game will consist of cards containing words and rules to be followed in constructing the sentences.

Required Materials

• Cardboard or sturdy cardstock
• Colored pens
• Scissors
• Ruler
• Books, websites, and other research materials

Step-by-Step Guide for the Activity

1. Create the game cards: Cut the cardboard or cardstock into uniformly sized pieces to create the game cards. The recommended size is approximately 7cm x 5cm. The group will need to create three types of cards: word cards (with Spanish nouns, adjectives, and verbs), article cards (with definite, indefinite, and neutral articles in Spanish), and rule cards (with instructions on how to use contractions).

2. Research and select the words: Use your study materials to research and select a variety of Spanish nouns, adjectives, and verbs. Write each word on a different card, indicating its category (noun, adjective, or verb).

3. Create the article cards: On the article cards, write down each definite, indefinite, and neutral article in Spanish, as well as the prepositions that form contractions when combined with articles.

4. Develop the contraction rules: On separate cards, write the contraction rules in Spanish. The rules should indicate when a preposition and an article should be contracted.

5. Organize the Game: Separate the cards into three piles: one for words, one for articles, and one for rules.

6. Play: The game starts with each player drawing one card from each pile. The goal is to construct a grammatically correct Spanish sentence using the word, the article, and following the rule drawn.
