Contextualization
The use of textual resources for composing a message is a fundamental part of efficient communication. This applies not only to the production of written materials of various kinds - such as books, articles, advertising pieces, among others - but also to the construction of verbal discourses, whether formal or informal.
In this sense, it is at school that we are often introduced to textual resources and their applications. Therefore, understanding and the ability to use them correctly are essential tools that we need to develop, both for everyday use and for professional activities.
In today's world, where information circulates rapidly and in large volume, the ability to compose a message clearly and efficiently becomes an important differential. Knowing how to use the appropriate textual resources allows the message to be understood precisely, avoiding misunderstandings and facilitating communication. Furthermore, the ability to recognize and analyze these same resources in received messages contributes to a better understanding of what was communicated.
In this context, the student who masters textual resources can achieve a much higher level of communicative competence. This will facilitate their effective participation in discussions, debates, production of written content, and even improve their text interpretation. Therefore, this project aims to develop this competence in students through the analysis and production of texts using textual resources.
Atividade Prática
Activity Title: The Power of the Message - Textual Construction in Practice!
Project Objective
The main objective of this project is to develop students' proficiency in using textual resources to compose a message. Students should be able to identify, analyze, and apply different textual resources in a variety of contexts. Additionally, the project aims to strengthen teamwork, enhance research skills, and encourage the creativity and critical thinking of young students.
Detailed Project Description
The project will be conducted in groups of three to five students and will have four main phases. The estimated duration is approximately 12 hours of work per participating student, divided over approximately three weeks. The project phases are:
- Research and Study
- Construction and Production
- Presentation and Discussion
- Documentation and Reflection
Required Materials
- Textbooks and study materials on textual resources
- Computers with internet access for research
- Materials for text production (paper, pencils, pens, etc.)
- Presentation software (PowerPoint, Google Slides, etc.)
Step-by-Step for Activity Execution
Phase 1 - Research and Study
In this phase, students should research and study different textual resources. Each group should choose at least four resources to analyze and study more deeply. The idea is that all group members can understand and effectively use these resources in a text.
Phase 2 - Construction and Production
In this phase, students should produce a collective text using the textual resources they studied. The text can take on different formats: story, news, article, essay, etc. Important: the text should be intertextual, meaning it should interact with other disciplines besides Portuguese. Example: an article that uses textual resources to discuss a History or Science topic.
Phase 3 - Presentation and Discussion
Each group will present their text to the class. In the presentation, students should discuss the textual resources used, explain the choices made, and open up for discussion. It is important that students are also prepared to answer questions and considerations from classmates and the teacher.
Phase 4 - Documentation and Reflection
Finally, each group should prepare a report on the project. The report should include:
- Introduction: contextualize the theme, its relevance and application, as well as the project's objective.
- Development: explain the theory behind the textual resources used, detail the activity, the methodology used, and present the results obtained.
- Conclusion: summarize the main points, highlight the learnings obtained, and draw conclusions about the project.
- Bibliography: indicate the sources used to work on the project.
Project Deliverables
At the end of the project, each group must deliver:
- The text produced during Phase 2.
- A video or audio recording of the presentation from Phase 3.
- The detailed report from Phase 4.
The production of these materials will serve not only to assess the understanding and application of the knowledge acquired during the project but also to evaluate the students' ability to work in a team and express themselves clearly and coherently. The writing of the report is of utmost importance, as it will allow students to bridge the gap between theory and practice, consolidating the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the project.
