For example, the nose filters the air, warms and humidifies it before it enters the lungs. The pharynx and larynx act as a channel that directs the air to the trachea, which divides into bronchi, conducting the air to the lungs where gas exchange occurs. The diaphragm, a muscle located below the lungs, plays a vital role in breathing, as its contraction and relaxation result in inspiration and expiration, respectively.

Project Objective

In addition, they should develop a small application or game that can simulate the effects of different situations on human respiration.
Project Description
This project is intended for groups of 3 to 5 students and is estimated to take about 15 hours to complete.
Students should research the anatomy of the respiratory system, how air flows through the system, and the functions of each part. Then, based on this knowledge, students will build a physical model of the respiratory system. This model should be robust enough to demonstrate breathing and allow the representation of different scenarios (such as physical exercise, asthma, or high altitudes).
