Studying these reactions and understanding how they occur is essential for the understanding not only of chemistry but also of how the world around us functions.
In this project, we will investigate one of the most common reactions: acid-base neutralization, which occurs when an acid and a base are combined and result in water and a salt. This reaction is fundamental for life as we know it, for example, it is through it that our stomach maintains the pH balance for proper digestion.
Theoretical Introduction
Chemistry studies the composition, structure, and properties of matter, as well as the changes they undergo during chemical reactions and the understanding of the behavior of atoms and molecules. One branch of Chemistry is Inorganic Chemistry, which deals with the synthesis, behavior, and reactions of inorganic molecules and compounds. Through it, we study concepts related to chemical reactions, such as acid-base reactions, neutralization, among others.

They occur when two or more reagents are combined, and a chemical reaction takes place forming products different from the original reagents. One of the most common reactions is the neutralization reaction between an acid and a base, resulting in water and a salt.
Chemical reactions are an integral part of our daily lives. From the moment we wake up until we go to sleep, we are in constant contact with chemical reactions. Whether in cooking, when we mix different ingredients that react with each other, or in house cleaning, when we use cleaning products that react with dirt to remove it, chemical reactions are always present.
