In this sense, understanding the factors that have driven the growth of the Midwest region, as well as the impacts of this growth on Cerrado deforestation, is essential for making decisions that seek to reconcile economic development and environmental preservation. This understanding necessarily involves a geographical analysis exercise, considering physical, economic, and social aspects.

The growth of the Midwest region of Brazil is a recent and complex phenomenon. It unfolds in various dimensions, from the increase in agricultural production, through accelerated urbanization, to the implementation of public policies to encourage territorial occupation.

Project Objective:

The objective of this project is to develop an integrated analysis of the economic growth of the Midwest region, the transformation of its agricultural and urban space, and the challenges arising from Cerrado deforestation.

Students are invited to divide into groups of 3 to 5 members for the development of this project. The activity will be divided into two stages: research and presentation.

Stage 1: Research
