Throughout this project, we will explore the context and the main events that shaped the Middle East and gave rise to the most significant conflicts in the region. Our goal is to develop a critical and in-depth understanding of the historical, cultural, religious, and political complexities that fuel these conflicts. Additionally, we will seek to understand the implications of these conflicts on the global stage and how they influence international relations.
The importance of studying conflicts in the Middle East is multifaceted. Project Objective

Students, divided into groups of 3 to 5, will represent the different countries and interest groups involved in the conflicts in the Middle East, such as Israel, Palestine, Syria, Iran, USA, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the EU. They will also represent non-state groups like Hamas and Hezbollah.
Each group will be responsible for researching the historical and current position of their assigned country or group, their role in the conflicts, and their interests. This will include an understanding of concepts such as nationalism, colonialism, imperialism, Zionism, and others related to the conflicts in the region.
After the research, the groups will present their findings in a simulation of a UN conference, where they will discuss the issues faced by the region and try to negotiate solutions.
The challenge is that each group must represent the interests of the assigned country or group, even if they are contrary to their own personal views. This will encourage students to see the conflict from different perspectives and understand the complexity of conflicts in the Middle East.
