Practical Activity
Activity Title: Creating and Interpreting Scenarios: The Path of Verbal Regency
Objective
This activity aims to deepen students' understanding of verbal regency by creating a scenario that contains various situations where verbal regency is applied. Students must then present this scenario and the situations to the class, while also explaining the regency rules involved.
Detailed Project Description
Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 people and will have to create a scenario containing situations that require the use of different verbs and their respective regencies. Each group must select at least 10 verbs with distinct regencies.
These situations need to be creative and represent something from everyday life, so that the real application of verbal regency rules can be identified. Groups need to think of situations that provide a good discussion and understanding of this content.
It is recommended that the group use visual resources to create their scenario, such as images and graphics, as well as audiovisual resources, such as audio and video recordings, to enrich the presentation and make it more interesting for the other students.
Students should research and choose verbs based on their relevance and frequency of use, as well as the complexity of their verbal regency.
Necessary Materials
- Books, magazines, newspapers, and other sources of research.
- Materials to create the scenario (colored papers, pens, pencils, glue, scissors, etc).
- Internet access.
- Computer or mobile device for audio and video recordings (optional).
Detailed Step-by-Step
- Form the groups and present the activity.
- The groups will start researching the verbs. They must select at least 10 verbs with distinct regencies.
- After selecting the verbs, the groups must create different situations where these verbs will be applied. The situations must be creative and represent something from everyday life.
- With the defined situations, students will start creating the scenario. They can use creativity to create an attractive scenario that helps understand the situations.
- In the presentation, each group will show the scenario and explain the situations and the regency of the verbs used.
Project Delivery and Writing of the Written Document
At the end of the project, in addition to presenting the scenario and discussing the situations, the group must produce a written report containing the following topics:
-
Introduction: Here, students should contextualize the relevance of verbal regency rules, both in daily communication and in exams such as ENEM and college entrance exams. They should also explain the project's objective.
-
Development: In this section, students must describe the verbs they chose, including detailing their regency rules. They should then explain the situations in which these verbs were used, discussing each one and explaining how verbal regency is applied in practice. Finally, they should describe the methodology they used to create the scenario and produce the presentation.
-
Conclusion: Students should conclude the work by revisiting the central theme of the project and the situations created, highlighting what they learned about verbal regency and its practical application. Here, they can also discuss the difficulties and ease they encountered during the project's development.
-
Bibliography: Students should indicate all sources they used to research the verbs and their regency rules, including books, magazines, websites, videos, and other digital resources.
The evaluation will be based on the presentation of the scenario, the discussion of the situations, and the quality of the written report, considering both the content and the text structure.
