Moreover, it is relevant to understand that cohesion and coherence are intrinsically linked. While coherence concerns the logical sense and order of ideas in a text, cohesion allows these ideas to connect harmoniously and smoothly. Thus, it is essential for a text to be coherent, but also cohesive, which means that words, phrases, and clauses must be properly interconnected.

Finally, cohesion can be of a grammatical nature, when it is achieved through gender agreement, number, tense, and other grammatical aspects. Or referential, when it is carried out through the use of pronouns, synonyms, and expressions that refer to other elements already mentioned in the text.

Grammatical cohesion is a crucial aspect of textual production, as it contributes to the clarity and fluency of writing and reading. Furthermore, it is essential for the effective expression of ideas, arguments, and information in any context, whether in the writing of an academic essay, in the writing of a film script, or in the development of a business proposal.

Identifying and understanding mechanisms of grammatical cohesion are indispensable skills not only in the academic and school environment but also in the professional field. After all, the ability to communicate effectively and clearly is a valued competence in almost all professions. Moreover, grammatical cohesion is an effective tool in building a persuasive and consistent discourse, essential in today's society.

Activity Title: "Grammatical Cohesion in Cinema"

Project Objective:

Students should analyze grammatical cohesion, as well as other linguistic and cinematographic factors, present in a movie script. The aim is to identify and understand how these aspects work together to make the film's narrative understandable and engaging.

This interdisciplinary task, involving both the Portuguese and Arts disciplines, will seek to integrate theoretical knowledge about grammatical cohesion with the study of cinematographic elements, promoting a more in-depth and engaging approach to the subject.

Detailed Project Description:

1. Group Formation: Students must divide into groups of 3 to 5 members.

2. Film Selection: Each group must choose a film to be analyzed. The choice should take into account the availability of the full script of the film for study.

3. Script Analysis: Groups must carefully read the film script, highlighting and identifying examples of grammatical cohesion used. In addition, they should analyze how these elements contribute to the fluency of the narrative and the understanding of the film's plot.

4. Articulation with Cinematographic Elements: Still in the script analysis, groups should observe how the elements of grammatical cohesion interact with cinematographic aspects such as scene editing, camera movements, soundtrack, etc., and understand how these factors can reinforce the cohesion of the text.

5. Report Writing: Based on the analysis, each group must write a detailed report containing Introduction, Development, Conclusions, and Bibliography, according to the given guidelines.

The project should last approximately two weeks.

Required Materials:

1. Full movie scripts available.

2. Computers with internet access for research and report writing.

3. Note-taking materials (notebooks, post-its, highlighters, etc).

1. Group formation and film selection.

2. Acquisition and reading of the chosen film's script.

3. Notation of grammatical cohesion elements found in the script.

4. Discussion on how these cohesion elements articulate with other aspects of the script and cinematographic production.

5. Report writing based on the analysis conducted.

More specifically, the report should include:

Detailed description of the analysis conducted on the film's script, including examples of grammatical cohesion found and how they contribute to the narrative. Discussion on the articulation of grammatical cohesion elements with other cinematographic aspects.

3. Conclusion: Recap of the main points of the work, explanation of the learnings obtained, conclusions on the use of grammatical cohesion in cinematographic language.

4. Bibliography: Indication of the sources used to assist in the script analysis and report writing.

The reports of all groups will be presented and discussed in the classroom, providing a moment for sharing knowledge and perspectives on the subject.
