Practical Activity

Activity Title: "Contemporary Perspectives: A Mosaic of Current Art"

Project Objective:

The objective of this project is to provide an exploration space for students to delve into contemporary art. By doing so, they will have the opportunity to research social, political, and cultural aspects that influence artistic creation, as well as the new forms of art that have emerged in recent decades.

Detailed Project Description:

The project will be carried out in groups of 3 to 5 students. Each group will choose a movement or trend within contemporary art (for example: pop art, conceptual art, intervention art, installation, performance, among others) and will develop a "frame" or "panel" that represents this movement or trend.

Each "frame" must contain:

1. A brief description of the chosen movement or trend (origin, main ideas, relevant artists, etc.).
2. Three reproductions of representative artworks of this movement or trend.
3. A critical analysis of one of the reproduced artworks.
4. A proposal for an interactive activity related to the chosen movement or trend.

Required Materials:

1. Cardboard or wood (for the base of the frame).
2. Paints, pens, colored pencils, magazine cutouts, etc.
3. Photographs or prints of the artworks to be analyzed.
4. Computer and internet (for research).

Step-by-Step for Activity Execution:

1. Formation of groups and choice of the movement or trend to be researched.
2. Research on the chosen movement or trend.
3. Selection of three representative artworks of this movement or trend and research on them.
4. Elaboration of the description and critical analysis.
5. Creation of the frame, including the reproductions of the artworks, the description, and the analysis.
6. Proposal for an interactive activity.
7. Preparation of the frame presentation for the class.

Project Deliverables:

1. "Contemporary Perspectives" frame.
2. Written document that reflects on the experience of creating the frame, relating it to the studied contents on contemporary art. This document should follow the structure of a report and should contain: Introduction (contextualizing the theme, relevance, real-world application, and project objective), Development (explaining the activity in detail and presenting the results), Conclusion (explicitly stating the learnings obtained and the conclusions drawn about the project), and Bibliography.
3. A presentation for the class, where the group must present their frame, explaining the chosen movement or trend, the selected artworks, the analysis made, and the proposed interactive activity.

<OBS: The interactive activity can be a questionnaire, a game, an arbitration of an artwork, a debate, a performance, etc. The important thing is that this activity allows the interaction of the other students with the movement or trend represented in the frame.>
