Contextualization
Chromosomes are highly organized structures, composed of DNA and proteins, present in the nucleus of cells. They are responsible for storing and transmitting genetic information from one generation to the next. Each organism has a specific number of chromosomes that remains constant in all its somatic cells. For example, humans have 46 chromosomes distributed in 23 pairs.

Project Objective
The objective of this project is to deepen students' understanding of the structure and function of chromosomes by creating a model that represents a chromosome and conducting a detailed presentation about it.
Detailed Project Description
Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 members. Each group will be responsible for building a model that represents the structure of a chromosome and for giving a presentation explaining details such as the constitution of the chromosome, its functions, and the importance of chromosomes for living beings. The presentation should be done in front of the class and should last between 15 to 20 minutes. The project has an estimated duration of two to four hours per participating student and should be delivered within a week.

- Materials for building the model: it can be cardboard, clay, modeling clay, styrofoam, barbecue sticks, wool thread, among others.
- Presentation materials: computer or posters for visual support, markers, sheets, among others.
