For example, the boiling point of a substance determines the temperature at which it changes from a liquid to a vapor state, which is crucial for distillation, one of the most common processes in the chemical industry.
These properties are determined by the intermolecular forces that act between the molecules of the compounds. Knowing and understanding these forces is essential to comprehend, predict, and manipulate the behavior of organic compounds. Furthermore, it is essential to know how these forces relate to the molecular structure of the compound.

Project Description
