In contrast, renewable energy sources are clean energy sources that, unlike fossil fuels, are inexhaustible on a human timescale. They are derived from naturally occurring, regenerative sources such as the sun, the wind, water, biomass, and the heat from the Earth. Project Goal
The aim of this project is to create a presentation that identifies and explores a specific renewable energy source. Groups should thoroughly research their chosen energy type, considering its advantages and disadvantages, its environmental and economic impact, and its relevance in the current and future energy mix.
Project Description
Each group, consisting of 3-5 students, should select a type of renewable energy to explore. Examples of renewable energy sources include, but are not limited to, solar energy, wind energy, hydropower, biomass, geothermal energy, etc.
The duration of this project is approximately one week, with an estimated individual working time of 2-4 hours.
Materials Required
Groups will need access to the internet for research purposes and a presentation creation software (such as PowerPoint, Google Slides, etc.). A notebook for note-taking and organizing ideas is also recommended.
