This project deals with one of the most remarkable events of the 20th century - The 1929 Crisis, also known as the Great Depression. In this context, the United States, which emerged from World War I as the world's largest economy, entered a period of severe economic decline that lasted a decade and reverberated worldwide. The ramifications of this crisis were felt not only in the economy but also in politics, society, and culture. In this project, we will focus on two key concepts: the rise of financial capitalism and market failure.

The 1929 Crisis was exceptional due to its duration and the extent of its economic impact. Traditionally, economies have their ups and downs - periods of expansion followed by recessions. However, the Great Depression was a prolonged period of economic decline that had lasting effects. During this crisis, unemployment soared, businesses closed, and economic production plummeted. These events triggered a series of reforms and new policies that transformed the economy and society of the United States.

However, the 1929 Crisis was not limited to the United States. Its shockwaves were felt worldwide.
