Project Goals

Groups should research their chosen topic, examining its impact during the Second Industrial Revolution and how these innovations intersected with the social and economic transformations of the era.
Based on this research, groups are to create a physical or digital model that illustrates their chosen innovation and its significance in the Industrial Revolution. The model should contain elements that represent both the technology and the social/economic impacts of the innovation.
Projects are to be completed within one week's time, with each student spending 2-4 hours researching, building their model, and preparing their presentation.
Required Materials
For physical models, you may use cardboard, popsicle sticks, clay, papier-mâché, or other materials of your choosing. For digital models, you may choose to use 3D modeling or graphic design software, or even create a multimedia presentation - the choice is yours!
